Decent trip but wont return – Review of Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, Rose Hall
[ad_1]
We are currently staying at Hyatt Zilara in Montego Bay. It is almost 5pm and, after being at the beach all day, our room has not been serviced. On previous days, housekeeping g has been inconsistent – some days we did not get toiletries replenished, etc.
When we arrived, our toilet didn’t flush. We had to have someone come 3 times before this was resolved. We also had to have someone come and reset the tv, which hasn’t been working properly either.
We have really enjoyed morning yoga on the beach with our instructor Lori – even though there were only a handful of very old yoga mats for the first 2 days until new ones finally appeared on day 3.
With the exception of a few – Clinton, Monica, Stacy Anne, Kimberley at the restaurants and the entertainment staff – the staff are not friendly. In some cases – particularly at the front desk, coffee shop, and pool side bar – they are downright rude.
The grounds are nice – we’ve enjoyed the pool, beach and gardens. The food is not great, but I guess that is par for the course at an all inclusive. The Petite Paris restaurant was meant to be adult only for guests of Zilara, but is full of children. When we asked, we were told that they were opening a separate section for families soon. So bottom line is there is nowhere to eat for adults only.
I could go on, but to summarize this resort has been extremely disappointing. Luckily it is hard to have a bad time in beautiful Jamaica. I just would not stay at this resort again – or any other Hyatt for that matter after experiencing such poor customer service here.
