Beautiful trip, but unsure if we will come back to this resort – Review of Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, Rose Hall

This resort was breathtaking and we were so happy with our stay. The room was lovely and the views were great. Despite the size of the resort, it did not feel crowded and we rarely had to wait more than a couple of minutes before we were served – the longest waits being at the coffee bar. Everything was clean, updated, and accessible. The food was good and the drinks were great.
More importantly, I could not say enough amazing things about the staff if I had an entire week to do so. We have traveled extensively and we have never encountered such genuinely lovely, kind, and accommodating people. My review would not be complete without mentioning a few employees that made our stay exceptional. Our butlers, Worren and DuJohn went so far beyond our expectations. I read reviews saying butlers will setup towels a cooler before we arrived so my expectations were good but not extraordinary. These two anticipated our needs and by the end of week had provided so many delightful touches without us even asking. I have a food allergy and the two of them initiated making sure menu items were available to me. The arranged chairs by the pool and beach based on our preference, greeted us every morning with items for the day, kept our room perfectly stocked, arranged any reservations and special requests, provided us with floats for the week, took special lunch order requests to deliver by the pool, setup a fan when we were hot at dinner, responded almost immediately when we message them, and always had a smile. We celebrated my sister’s 30th birthday and their attention to small details – balloons outside of her door, decorations of our cabana, finding someone to sing for her, bringing a cake and champagne – made it truly unforgettable. We fully intend to request them both again the next time we come.
Alnardo and Julio served us several days at the Ziva pool, which we preferred over our Zilara pool in large part because of the two of them. They were entertaining, witty, and able to balance the demand of so many guests without anyone ever feeling like they were waiting. It made our days truly delightful.
Toni-Lee – By an amazing coincidence Toni ended up being our waitress several days poolside and beachside. She is exceptional. Her memory was great with many requests and she was timely and very attentive. Her sense of humor was also great to enjoy. She began to notice our food preferences and brought us food poolside on the past day around the time we usually ate of things she thought we would like – all without us asking!
Rose was the restroom attendant at the Ziva pool several days of our trip. Every time I encountered Rose she was smiling, accommodating, and engaging. She and I chatted briefly one day while I was waiting and after that day she greeted me personally by name each time I saw her. I can’t begin to imagine how she is able to keep up with so many guests that go in and out and remember them by name.
Vaughn was the lifeguard at our Ziva pool on several days and he always managed boisterous kids with a smile and a good sense of humor. He was super friendly and professional and again recognized guests by name.
Antinelle- I’m sure I have the spelling incorrect, but we LOVED him as part of the activities coordination staff. We encountered him at bingo, paint and sip, and poolside activities. He was funny and engaging and we probably engaged in a lot more programming than we would have without him.
We also enjoyed interacting with Kadija on the activities deck. We did not have as many days interacting with her but found her similarly attentive, engaging, friendly, and funny. We really enjoyed seeing her engage staff.
This is a very small sample of the exceptional employees. We did not encounter one staff member our entire trip who looked frustrated, weary, put out, or disgruntled. Everyone – from the trim painters to trash collectors to front desk staff – greeted us with a smile and a nod. If truly was a remarkable experience.
